Become a teacher for Alaska
Have you wondered about teaching as part of your career? Are you currently getting a degree in another subject (Fisheries, Alaska Native Languages, History, Psychology, Mathematics, or anything else!)? After you earn a bachelor's or a graduate degree, you can become a certified Elementary, Secondary, or Special Education teacher at °®ÎÛ´«Ã½ in 1-2 years. Scholarships are available that cover tuition and fees and offer a stipend.
If you have any questions about what preparing to teach looks like at UAF, join us in-person or online on Thursday, Nov. 21, from 1-1:30 p.m. or 5:30-6 p.m. for information sessions covering degree options, schedules for working students, and funding opportunities. Share your excitement about your subject with the next generation of Alaska’s preschool to 12th grade students!
In-person: Alaska Future Teacher Space, Room 702, 7th Floor Gruening
Online:
Nov. 21 information sessions will focus on post-baccalaureate pathways, but anyone interested in teaching programs at UAF is welcome.
If you have questions, please contact Dana Lindauer, delindauer@alaska.edu. Hope to see you there.
